Jennifer was born in Guyana, South America (a tiny, English-speaking speaking country bordering Brazil). After migrating to the United States at the tender age of 14 (with her parents and siblings), she spent the rest of her teenage and young adult years in New York where shegraduated from Hofstra University. 

Jen’s love for travel led her to Arizona and she was instantly enamored with the desert landscape and mountain views for they reminded her of her grandfather’s ranch in her home country. It was there that she met and married her husband of 30 years. The travel bug bit again and they now live in the Lone Star State with her two young adult children and three dogs.

After college, Jen was supposed to start a career in publishing, but life had other plans for her, and she ended up with a career in the insurance industry instead. Having spent 20+ years in the insurance–servicing realm, she honed her customer service skills, and her knowledge of the industry grows with each passing year. She enjoys establishing rapport with her clients and helping them secure insurance coverage for their business and personal needs. She tries to start each workday with a positive outlook and by keeping a smile in my voice when she connectswith clients over the phone.

An avid reader since childhood, Jen is often found with her nose buried in a book (or tablet in today’s modern world). She enjoys books of all genres and has even written and self-published four novels of my own. Listening to music, dancing, watching movies/series shows, and going for long walks also bring her joy. As they say … we only live once … so why not enjoy it!
